Explosive growth in online video market

The stream of positive news on the outlook for online video continues to swell. Online video consumption holds on to its steep rise and online video advertising networks now start to make serious money. Tremor Media (just founded in 2005 and already a US leader in this field), recently announced a follow-up funding of US$ 40m (!) in order to further build on their technology and expand into other media channels.
In a US study (picture) that Tremor Media recently published on the state of the online video market in 2010, 94% of the marketeers expected to increase their online video advertising budgets in 2010. The increase would come at the expense of the TV advertising budget, indicated 45% of respondents, but also print (39%) and display (34%) are to be cut for funding the increased spending in online video advertising.
